FAQ

Questions people ask first

If yours is not here, the front desk will answer it on the phone.

  • Do I need a referral?

Most patients come to us from their dentist or orthodontist. Bring the referral slip and any films/x-rays. You are welcome to call without one.

  • Will it hurt?

Not during. We perform every procedure under anesthesia, and you choose the depth with your surgeon: local only, oral sedation, or fully asleep. You go home with written instructions and a number to call.

  • What will it cost?

The figure depends on the procedure and your coverage, so we give it to you at the consultation. The front desk handles insurance and billing and goes through the cost with you before we schedule anything.

  • How can I pay?

We accept credit cards, CareCredit, cash and personal checks. CareCredit lets you spread the cost over installments.

  • Can I drive myself home?

After local anesthetic, yes. After oral sedation or a general anesthetic, no: bring an adult who can stay during surgery and drive you home.

  • How soon can I be seen?

Call and tell the front desk what is happening. We treat infection, swelling, broken teeth and post-operative problems as emergencies.

  • Do you treat children and teenagers?

Yes. We remove wisdom teeth and perform exposure and bonding for teenagers regularly. Bring a parent or guardian for anyone under 18.

  • What do I bring to the first visit?

Your referral slip and any films/x-rays, a list of your medications with your physician’s name and number, and your completed insurance forms. Mention pregnancy, chronic or recent illness, heart valves, joint replacements, and any past difficulty with anesthesia.

  • Where are you, and is there parking?

2 Reservoir Circle, Suite 103, Pikesville, MD 21208. We are on the ground floor. Parking is outside the door, and public transit reaches us.
